Posted on August 21, 2013 By Sylvester Local

David-Allen-Wooden

48-year-old David Allen Woody of Albany was arrested after information was obtained by the Mid-South Narcotics Task Force that Wooden was traveling to Tift County in order to distribute Oxycodone and U.S. counterfeit currency.

Agents with the Task Force, the United State Secret Service and Tift County deputies were able to set up surveillance on Wooden as he traveled to Tift County. When Wooden arrived at the Tifton Mall and attempted to deliver the Oxycodone and counterfeit currency, he was arrested by law enforcement. During a search of the vehicle, agents recovered 44 Oxycodone tablets and $5,690.00 in counterfeit currency.

Wooden was taken to the Tift County jail where he was charged with distributing Oxycodone and forgery in the first degree. Wooden is currently on federal supervised release for prior weapons and counterfeit related charges.
