The Worth County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Mid South Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at 1090 Mt. Horeb Road, the residence of Heather Marie Scoggins, at approximately 6 p.m. yesterday. A thorough search of the premises resulted in the confiscation of methamphetamines. Scoggins was not at home at the time, but was found shortly after at the residence of Justin Harrison Vinson, 5405 Georgia Hwy 300. After discovering meth at this residence, law enforcement officials took into custody five individuals.

Arrested were 40 year old Henry Andrew Newsome, 41 year old Timothy Olan Nichols, 20 year old Katie Lynn Gordon, 30 year old Heather Marie Scoggins, and 30 year old Justin Harrison Vinson. Vinson could be facing additional charges and is no stranger to Worth County law enforcement. According to officials, his arrest record for Worth County includes a burglary charge and a theft by taking charge in May 2000, a battery charge in October 2000 which resulted in confinement to Lee County Correctional, and a burglary and probation violation charge in March of 2005.

All five are currently being held in the Worth County jail.
