Food Drive a Huge Success at Destiny Fitness

Posted on April 22, 2015 By Sylvester Local

Destiny FitnessjpgDestiny Fitness of Sylvester would like to congratulate Mr. Donnie Fairbanks for winning the first monthly Food Drive Contest at the fitness center. Beginning in March of 2015, Destiny Fitness of Sylvester kicked off a monthly food drive benefiting Family Visions Outreach, Inc. Members of Destiny Fitness have an incentive to donate non-perishable foods, by receiving an entry into a random drawing for fitness related prizes. Each month, the prizes vary from apparel, to gym towels, Blender Bottles, supplements, nutrition bars and more.
“After the tremendous success of our previous food drive during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season last year, it just made sense for us to continue supporting our community” said Paul Duty, Director of Marketing for Destiny Fitness. According to Mr. Duty, “In only a few weeks last year, our fitness center members in Georgia raised nearly a full ton of food for local food banks and non-profit organizations. I am incredibly grateful for how our members really came together to give back for others in a time of need.”
Adam Johnson, Manager at Destiny Fitness of Sylvester was instrumental in organizing the monthly food drive and providing incentives for the members. By encouraging contributions, Adam has been a driving force in motivating members to help provide for others. All of us at Destiny Fitness would like to sincerely thank our members for their contributions and we encourage everyone to continue giving back to make a difference in the community.
Destiny Fitness of Sylvester is located at 201 W. Franklin St, Sylvester, GA 31791. For more information on Destiny Fitness, please call (229) 821-3154, or visit www.destinyfitness.com.
