Mrs. Geraldine Williams Jones, 74, of Sylvester died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Phoebe North Hospital.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 at Banks Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in the Poulan Cemetery. The Rev. Mylan Brookins will officiate.
Mrs. Jones was born in Worth County on March 1, 1940 to the late Romie Alfred and Mabel Lillian Hardage Williams. She had lived in Worth County all of her life. Mrs. Jones retired after 30 years of service with Avondale Mills in Tifton. She enjoyed playing the piano and going to yard sales. Mrs. Jones loved her grand and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the Poulan Baptist Church and attended the Sylvester Lighthouse Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Eugene Jones, Sr.; sons, Eugene “Gene” Jones, Jr. (Sandra) and Tracy L. Jones (Rosemary); grandchildren, Kelly Blalock, Kristy Gibson, Christopher Jones, Ethan Morris, Aaron & Anna Jones, Kalli Brooks Jones, Trenton Jones, Landon Jones and JoHannah Jones; great-grandchildren, Brittney Blalock, Kaycee Blalock, Makaila Jones, Corbitt Jones, Kadence Gibson and Cayson Jones and her brother-in-law, Wayne Ferguson.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by a daughter and her sister, Dorinda W. Ferguson.
Pallbearers include Aaron Jones, Christopher Jones, John West, Jerry Walters, Michael Harbison, Roman Ferguson and Johnny Sumner.
Mrs. Jones will be at her residence 157 Tempy Rd. Sylvester, GA., 31791 on Monday and Tuesday where the family will receive friends.
