Janet Gable Howard

Mrs. Janet Gable Howard, 64, of Sylvester died Sunday February 7, 2016 at her residence.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday February 11, 2016 at Northside Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Providence Cemetery. The Rev. Jerry Cooper will officiate.

Mrs. Howard was born at Fort Benning GA. on March 13, 1951 to the late John Allen and Pamela Peake Gable Sr. Mrs. Howard had lived in Worth County since 1976. She worked as a Metal Recycler and as a domestic house cleaner. Mrs. Howard loved hunting, working in the yard, going to the mountains and the beach. She enjoyed spending time with her pets and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Barbara J. Bradshaw of Jacksonville, NC; God Daughter Melinda Beasley (Greg) of Sylvester; Best friend and sister Tammy Singletary (Dub) of Sylvester; adopted grandson Mitchell Singletary (Tonya) of Sylvester; adopted great grandchildren, Nathan and Drake Beasley, Lena and David Singletary; sister-in-law Sylvia H. Ryals of Philadelphia MS.; Step Children, Stan Howard of Baconton, Jenny Denham of Leesburg, Teresa Koon of Navarre FL, Anna J. Howard of League City TX and a host of step-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Howard was preceded in death by her husband Charles T. (Chuck) Howard on April 2, 2013.

Pallbearers include Mitchell Singletary, Michael Roberts, Mike Giddens, Stacey Roberts, David Holsinger and Del McDaniel.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday February 10, 2016 from 7 PM to 9PM at Banks Funeral Home.
