Linda Ann Powell

Miss Linda Ann Powell, 68, of Sylvester died Sunday August 4, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday August 7, 2013 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Providence Cemetery with Rev. Charles McCardle officiating.

Miss Powell was born on February 21, 1945 in Brooks County to the late David Harvard and Elizabeth Etheleen Hancock Powell. She lived in Sylvester for the past eight years having lived in Atlanta for the past 30 years. Miss. Powell was formerly employed with Piccadilly Cafeteria and enjoyed working with arts and crafts and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include her sisters, Betty Harris (J.C.) of Sycamore, Laverne Marchant (Harmon) of Tifton and Harriett Avery (Michael) of Sycamore; her brothers, M. C. Powell (Jewellean) of Sylvester, Charles Powell (Mary) of Sylvester,  Jack Powell (Linda) of Sylvester, Wayne Powell (Patsy) of Sylvester, Alvin Powell (Shirley) of Sylvester and Dale Powell (Amy) of Worth County; her special friend, Larry Ledbetter and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers included Chris Powell, Hal Ivey, Drew Cravey, Darrell Powell, Ray Flowers and Josh Powell.

Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester was in charge of arrangements.
