The Sylvester Computer Guy is stepping up to help a former employee in her time of need. The story of Alex Mixon, a 27-year-old delivery driver for Loco’s in Albany, was gunned down on November 24 when he arrived at a fake address to deliver an order of food.
Many local residents will remember Alex’s wife Paige who recently worked at the Computer Guy on Franklin Street. Last week, owners Josh and Melody Beckstrom posted on Facebook last week that the local store would be running a special to raise funds to help with their employee’s expenses.
The post reads, “Our hearts go out to past employee Taylor Paige Mixon who lost her husband in a senseless and tragic shooting last Friday. We have created a special link to our online toner/drum store for those of you who would like a portion of your online toner/drum purchases to go towards her immediate living expenses (like at least $11 per item). We drop ship anywhere in the USA so anyone can help her out if you or someone you know needs this stuff anyway. This link will remain active until further notice: https://sylvestercomputerguy.com?ref=taylor-34”
There is also a GoFundMe account set up to help with the funeral expenses. The link for that fund if you prefer to donate is www.gofundme.com/helping-taylor-mixon
