Mae Elizabeth Golden Willis

Mae Elizabeth Golden Willis, 78, of Tifton died Thurs., Nov. 14, 2013, at Golden Living Center. A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Sat., Nov. 16, 2013, in Tift Memorial Gardens. Rev. Kent Johnson officiated and burial followed.
Mrs. Willis was born on Dec. 13, 1934 in Irwin County and was the daughter of Robert Golden and Maurine Branch Golden, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harvey Willis, who died in 2012; and one son, Randall Willis, who died in 2010. She graduated from Tift County High School in 1953 and was a homemaker and mom. She was also a member of Fourth Street Baptist Church in Tifton.
Mrs. Willis is survived by two daughters, Peggy Willis Hayes of Sylvester and Kim Willis of Houston, TX; one daughter-in-law, Dina Willis of Tifton; one sister and brother-in-law, Mary Alice and James Miller of Paisley, FL; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Lena Golden of Hanahan, SC; nine grandchildren, Nichole Hayes, Joshua Brown, Payton Brown, Sarah Bluestein Holcomb, Abbey Bluestein, Koby Willis, Isaac Willis, Erick Garcia-Salas and Alex Garcia-Salas; and five great-grandchildren.
Condolences may be sent to the family at the online guest registry at www.bowen-donaldson.com. Services for the Willis family were under the care and direction of Bowen-Doanldson Home for Funerals.
