Marjorie Brooks

Mrs. Marjorie Brooks Robinson, 89, of TyTy died Monday, September 14, 2015 at her residence.

The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Mt. Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church, 1702 Evergreen Road, Sylvester, GA 31791 with interment following in the church cemetery. Elder Walter Todd, Mr. Steven Meeks and Brother Lamar

Robinson officiated.

Mrs. Robinson was born on September 11, 1926 in Anderson City to the late George Washington and Willie Verna Pate Brooks. She had lived in Worth County most of her life and worked for the Worth County Board of Education in the lunchroom for 36 years. Mrs. Robinson enjoyed cooking, cross-stitching, word puzzles and attending church. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Lamar Robinson of Ashburn, Myrtice Meeks (Bob), Jon Robinson (Kay) and Bonnie Rewis all of TyTy; sister, Georgia Ann Corbin of Albany; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Robinson, was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Robinson on January 29, 1984, daughter Carolyn Peggy Robinson on Nov. 13, 1945 and a grandson, Daniel Meeks on November 14, 1982.

Serving as pallbearers were Steven Meeks, Mark Robinson, Lamar Robinson, Tim Meeks, Matt Robinson and Jon Robinson.
