Martha Dean “Mutt” Bozeman Brown

Mrs. Martha Dean “Mutt” Bozeman Brown, 86, of Sylvester died Friday August 22, 2014 at her residence.

The funeral service was held at 10:00 AM on Monday August 25, 2014 at Gordy New Bethel Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Jeff Barker and Rev. A. R. Wilbourn will officiate.

Mrs. Brown was born on February 18, 1928 in Isabella to the late Thomas Lester and Annie Mae Ford Bozeman. She had lived in Worth County all of her life and was a homemaker. Mrs. Brown was a member of Gordy New Bethel Baptist Church where she taught Children’s Sunday School. She loved her flowers, working in her yard and cooking for her children.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen B. Watson (Bobby) of Sylvester; son, Terry Brown (Jan) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Todd Tanner, Tara Tanner, Trevin Tanner, Brooke Hoover and Matthew Brown; great grandchildren, Tayler Tanner, Madison Tanner, Tori Tanner, MacKenzie Tanner, Jackson Hoover, Avery Hoover, Payton Brown, Kaylee Brown; sisters, Arcola Lopez and JoAnn Youngblood both of Sylvester and a sister-in-law, Irma Bozeman of Sylvester.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, Berna C. Brown on January 4, 2004.

Pallbearers included, Tommy Bozeman, Ronnie Bozeman, Jeff Youngblood, Brett Wilson, Stacy Davis and Wesley Wishum. Honorary Pallbearers included, Wayne Brown, Carol Brown, Bobby Brown, Billy Brown and Sonny Brown.
