Michael Ray Elam

Mr. Michael Ray “Mike” Elam, 67 of Tifton formerly of Sylvester died Sunday October 20, 2013 at Regency Hospital in Macon.
The funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday October 26, 2013 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Isabella Cemetery with Rev. Nate Lehman officiating.
Mr. Elam was born on February 2, 1946 in Middletown, OH to the late Raymond and Lita Conley Elam. He lived in Worth County for the past 36 years and was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. Mr. Elam was a retired shop manager at Albany Body Works.
Survivors include his daughter, Allison Elam Peugh (Courtney) of Tifton; grandchildren, Logan and Lelan Peugh and McKenzie Elam; brother, Timmy Elam (Kelly) of FL; sister, Rita Elam Jensen (Gene) of FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Mr. Elam was preceded in death by his wife, June Harrell Elam on January 23, 1994, and a son, Michael “Stick” Elam on July 24, 2000.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:30 p.m. until service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester is in charge of the arrangements.
