Piggly Wiggly Presents Flags to Local Fire Departments

On May 29th, the Worth County Middle School Treble Choir presented the Sylvester Fire Department and Worth County EMA/Fire/Rescue each with a United States flag signed by members of three separate New York City fire departments, including Engine Company 7 in Manhattan. Some who signed were responders to the 9/11 disaster. Last Thursday, brothers Kyle and Kevin Tomlinson of Piggly Wiggly presented the flags they had placed in shadow boxes back to the Sylvester Fire Department and to Worth County EMA/Fire/Rescue. Attending Sylvester’s presentation was Capt. Keith Brown, Kyle Tomlinson, Sylvester City Manager Debbie Bridges, Kevin Tomlinson, Ben Brown, Bruce Lesieur, Clinton Dean, Donnie Johnson, Chief Chris Duncan, WCMS Choir Director Lesli Holton, Lt. Brian Murray, student Day Leigh Story, Lt. Dewayne Mann, and student Natalie Thompson. Attending WCFR’s presentation was back row (l-r): Robert Chambless, Justin Cooper, Lt. Casey Chapman, Lt. Jerry McDonald, Capt. John Graddy, Kevin Tomlinson, and Willie Jackson; front row (l-r): Jed Drawdy, Kyle Tomlinson, Mike Cosby, Leslie Holton, Natalie Thompson and Day Leigh Story.
