The 2016 Annual May Day Festival in Doerun!

The Doerun May Day Festival BBQ Competition begins on Fri May 6 this year at 6PM. Fri evening we will have the Silver Eagle Band performing from 7 PM- 11:00 PM with Food and Drink vendors.  On Sat May 7, we have a May Day Parade downtown which begins at 10AM including antique tractors, authentic military vehicles, Shriners, the CCHS Marching Band, Floats and much more.

Festivities kick off in Peach Tree Park at 11AM after the parade on Saturday. During the festival on Saturday we have entertainment including clogging, gospel singing, dancers, contemporary Christian music, and door prizes.  We also have many activities for children including Spider Jump Bungee, bounce houses, mechanical bull rides, face painting, airbrush art, balloon art, and many game activities for the young at heart.   Arts & crafts vendors will be on hand as well as food & drink vendors for you to sample delicious food and quench your thirst.  A cake walk will be hosted by Liberty Hill Baptist Church of Doerun. Line up for the Entertainment will be:

11:00 Welcome & Prayer

11:15 till 11:45       Sudden Impact Cloggers

12:00 till 12:45       Shane Waller Group   (Christian Rap)

1:00 till 1:45           Beans & Strings

2:00   till 2:25        Silver Buckle Dancers

2:30 Till 3:15          The Harper Trio Group

3:30 till 4:15           3 for One Singers

4:30 till 6 PM         Gritty and Pretty

6:15 till 8 PM         Mike Little

8:00 Till 12 PM      Naturally Southern    (Street Dance)

There is no entry fee for the parade or festival.
