According to Dan Nesbit, Worth County Economic Development Authority chairman, property has been titled and funds transferred to the Walmart corporation for a store in Sylvester.
Speaking with Nesbit by phone earlier today, he confirmed the transfer took place electronically “Either last night, Sept. 30 or this morning Oct. 1.”
Nesbit said construction would begin immediately to facilitate an opening as quick as possible.
The store will be located in the northwest corner of the industrial park at the corner of Highway 82 and Seabrook Drive.
