Louise Jones Thompson

Mrs. Louise Jones Thompson, 81, of Ty Ty died Tuesday October 28, 2014 at Agape Health and Rehabilitation in Moultrie.

The funeral service was held at 4:00 PM on Friday October 31, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Wright’s Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Gene Huggins will officiate.

Mrs. Thompson was born on May 3, 1933 in Whigham, GA to the late Zora and Olivia Merritt Jones Thompson. She had lived most of her life in Worth County and was a cosmetologist and homemaker. Mrs. Thompson enjoyed sewing, doing art and sketch. She taught herself to play the piano and was a member of the Oak Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Debbie T. Hunt (Mike) of TyTy, Carol T. Conway (Bobby) of Tifton; son, Larry Thompson of Abbeville; grandchildren, Andy Cone, Amanda Schieving (Herman), Carrie Cone, Christy Scharber (Rod), Justin Hunt, Chad Thompson (Donna), Amy Thompson, Shane Graves (Priscilla), Angie Hickey (Stephen), Kayla Morgan (Jace), Michael Thompson (Melissa), Kris Ethridge (Michael) and 22 great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by a son, Randall James (Sammy) Thompson on December 28, 1994 and her husband, James L. Thompson on January 30, 2006.

Serving as pallbearers were Shane Graves, Michael Thompson, Stephen Hickey, Andy Cone, Chad Thompson, Jace Morgan and Herman Schieving.
