Robert L. Eubanks

Mr. Robert L. Eubanks, 87, of Sylvester died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Tift Regional Medical Center.

The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at New Life Tabernacle with interment following in the Tempy Cemetery.  The Rev. Gordon Poole officiated.

Mr. Eubanks was born in Calhoun County on November 10, 1927 to the late James Otis and Martha Jane Cobb Eubanks.  He had lived in Worth County since 1979 having moved here from Albany.  Mr. Eubanks was an Army veteran having served in the Korean War.  He retired from Coats and Clark after 28 years of service as a forklift operator and loved to fish and hunt.  Mr. Eubanks was a member of New Life Tabernacle where he was in the Adult Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Sara Fields Eubanks; sons, Ronnie Eubanks of Doughterty County and Alan Eubanks (Brenda) of Poulan; grandchildren, John A. Eubanks, Jr. (Amber), Marlena (Cheyenne) Eubanks and Kaileigh Eubanks; great grandchildren, Jonah Eubanks and Craig Eubanks; sister, Ruby Turner of Albany and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers included John Eubanks, Jr., Jessie McKinnon, Phillip Raby, Lance Griffin, David McKinnon, John Lambert and Ronnie Bradshaw.
