For the second year in a row, the Monsanto Fund is gearing-up to invest $2.3 million to strengthen math and science education in rural communities through America’s Farmers Grow Rural EducationSM. Winning schools will be announced later this month.
Farmers in 1,271 counties across 39 states had the opportunity to grow the next generation by nominating a rural, public school district to apply for a grant of up to $25,000. Overall, the Monsanto Fund will donate up to $2.3 million to rural America.
The top three finalists for the state of Georgia include Berrien County, Terrell County, and the Worth County School System.
