On February 26, 1919, a baby girl was born to George Walker and Annie Harris-Walker in Turner County, Georgia. Lollie Mae was the oldest child of their union and she had a younger sister Rosie Singleton, who preceded her in death. Her early years were greatly enhanced by her grandparents, Lizzie and Robert Ealy, who helped shape her personal values.
The family later moved to Worth County, Georgia where she attended school and graduate at the highest level possible during those times, which was the 8th grade.
Lollie received Christ as the Lord of her life in 1932 under Reverend Robert E. Ousley at New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. After meeting her soul mate, Mr. James Hall, the two were married on December 24, 1939. She then joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and became active in Sunday school and the home mission department where she faithfully served for many years. Lollie loved helping people in any way that she could.
Through the union of James and Lollie, six children were born – a daughter, Rheyshene B. King – Boyd (Charles), Albany, Georgia, and four sons: James Rudolph Hall, College Park, Georgia; George Hall Sr. (Martha), Franklin Hall, and John Travis Hall, Sylvester, Georgia, as well as one son James Edward Hall who died shortly after birth.
Lollie leaves 19 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren; three great, great-grandchildren; three god-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Georgia Hall Butler; several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends to honor and cherish her memories.
Arrangements were entrusted to Fields and Terry’s Funeral Home.
