Joel Anthony Rogers

Mr. Joel Anthony Rogers, 64, of Sylvester died Monday, March 19, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service was held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 23, 2018 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Smoak Cemetery in Warwick.  The Rev. Mike Carter officiated.
Mr. Rogers was born on January 2, 1954 in Sylvester to the late Ralph Chappell and Thurma Colvard Rogers.   He had lived in Worth County all his life and was co-owner of Rogers Tree Removal. Mr. Rogers enjoyed Bee Keeping and was a member of the Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Anthony Rogers (Gail), of Richmond Hill, GA, Eric Rogers of Belle Chasse, LA; brothers, Steve Rogers of Mobile, AL, Doyle Rogers (Julie) of Poulan; sister, Hattie R. Benson of Poulan; significant other, Jean Grubbs of Sylvester; mother of his children, Cindy Massey of Enigma; grandchildren, Noah and Annabelle Rogers, Elijah Bennet and Blakely Rogers.
Active pallbearers included Mark Davis, Justin Roberts, Kevin Tomlinson, Steven Roberts, Don Bouchard, Mike Lumpkin and Johnny Houston.  Honorary pallbearers included Eddie Medders and Kevin Kimbrell.
