Anna Marshall Tillman Williams, 99 of 1307 W. 3rd Ave, Albany passed away March 5, 2013 at her home.
The funeral service will be held Saturday 2 p.m. with a graveside service at Crown Hill Cemetery. Dr. William E. (Butch) Knight of First Baptist Church will officiate.
She was married to the late Lamar Mayo Williams, Sr. who was a retiree of the Albany Postal Service.
Mrs. Williams was a native of Bennettsville, South Carolina. She attended Floral McDonald College in Red Springs, South Carolina and Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
Marshall came to Albany in 1938 where she met her husband Mayo. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Albany and Open Door Sunday School Class. She was a charter member of the Albany Junior League, and a volunteer for several charities. She was an avid Bridge player and loved her friends.
She was a loving mother and housewife. Survivors include three children, Lou Wilkes of Vidalia, GA, Betsy Mobley of Sylvester, GA, and Mayo Williams, Jr. of Albany, GA; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be following the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery.
