Mr. Carol Salter, 78 of Sylvester, died on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Willson Hospice House.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, interment followed in the Pine Forest Cemetery. The Rev. Jill Willingham and Rev. Jimmy Voyles officiated.
Mr. Salter was born on November 3, 1940 in Worth County, to the late Telfair Wilson and Elvie Gunn Salter. He had lived in Worth County most of his life and was a retired salesman with Cutters Exchange. Mr. Salter enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, watching nascar and listening to gospel and country music.
Survivors include his wife, Christine Salter of Sylvester; daughter, Belinda Sizemore (Tim) of Sylvester; sister, Mae Dell Hancock of Moultrie; brother, Randall Salter (Bonnie) of Crossland; grandchildren, Holly Senkbeil (Matt), Adam Sizemore; great grandchildren, Bryton Puckett, Bradford Senkbeil and Stratton Senkbeil.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Salter was preceded in death by his siblings, Alice Sutton, Lettie Key, Lil Hembree, Roy and W.L. Salter.
