Ann Gissendanner

Miss Ann Gissendanner, 80, of Sylvester died Monday March 31, 2014 at Tift Regional Medical Center.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday April 2, 2014 at Hillcrest Cemetery. Rev. Mylan Brookins officiated.
Miss Gissendanner was born in Colquitt County on October 1, 1933 to the late Elton Jacob and Emma Lou Carter Gissendanner. She was a graduate of Moultrie High School and lived in Sylvester since 1996 moving here from Milledgeville. Miss Gissendanner was formerly employed with Central State Hospital as a pharmacy technician. She was of the Baptist faith and was a supporter of the Best Friends Humane Society in Sylvester.
Survivors include her brothers, Julian Gissendanner (Pomy) of Clarksville, Elton Gissendanner (Frances) of Lake Placid, FL, Ausley Gissendanner (Viola) of Thomasville and Clarence Gissendanner (Virginia) of St. George Island and a host of nieces and nephews.
Miss Gissendanner was preceded in death by her siblings, Williw Gissendanner, Ena McFee, Annie Lou Hightower, Virginia Milton and Dorothy Mount.
The family received friends on Wednesday from 10 until 10:45 a.m. at Banks Funeral Home.
