Annette Pate Cochran

Mrs. Annette Pate Cochran, 84 of Sylvester died Monday December 30, 2013 at her residence. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday January 1, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Davis and Rev. Grady Morey will officiate. Mrs. Cochran was born on January 12, 1929 in Colquitt County to the late John Decader and Annie Catherine Robinson Pate. She had lived in Worth County most of her life and was retired from Sylvester Textile as Plant Manager. Mrs. Cochran was a member of the Sylvester Woman’s Club and was the Junior Woman’s Club mother of the year in 1988. She was a former Cub Scout Den Mother and was an avid rose gardener. Mrs. Cochran was a member of the First Baptist Church, the Bykota Sunday School Class and a former Sunday School Teacher. Mrs. Cochran was a devoted mother and grandmother. Survivors include her sons, Jimmy Cochran (Charlotte) and Johnny Cochran (Cindy) all of Sylvester; grandchildren, Brett Cochran, Rebekah Cochran and Courtney Cochran, sisters-in-law, Eris Barksdale and Prebble Pate both of Sylvester; special friend, Hugh Donnan of Sumner; her caregivers, Annie Pearl Green, Christine Williams, Lowornia Richardson and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Cochran was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Harold Cochran on December 27, 2000, four brothers and one sister. For those desiring memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church P.O. Box 309, Sylvester, GA., 31791 or the Alzheimer’s Association 315 West Second St., Tifton, GA., 31794. Pallbearers included, Tom Cary, Bobby Goldinger, Wayne Senkbeil, Craig Giles, Laney Wooten, George Hobby and Mike Carter. Please sign our online guest registry at www.banksfh.com.
