Rebecca “Becky” Land Terry, 82, of Tifton passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home in Pelham, Ga.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 15 in the chapel of Albritton Funeral Directors with Dr. Fred Evers officiating. Interment to follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Turner County. The family received friend on Wednesday evening March 14 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Herman Hannon, Tony Tucker, Bill Reinhardt, Tim Brenneman, Michael Staton and Charles Land. Honorary pallbearers will be Ann Hammons Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Terry was born November 2, 1935 in Sumner, Georgia to the late Frank Milton Land and Mary Alice Hobby Land. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emory C. Draughon who died in 1979 and her second husband, Clarence E. Terry who died in 1991 and her brother, and sister-in-law, Marcus and Helen Land. Mrs. Terry was a member of Northside Baptist Church of Tifton and had lived in Tifton since 1954. She graduated from Sumner High School with perfect attendance for all her school years. She worked for the Tifton Gazette for twelve years then retired as a legal Secretary after forty-two years at the Reinhardt Law Firm. She was a member of Georgia Power Ladies Auxilliary. At her church she was a primary Sunday school class worker, church treasurer and former member of the Ann Hammons Sunday School Class. Mrs. Terry was very active in her church and was a true servant of God. She loved gardening, working in her yard and giving bridal luncheons and showers.

Mrs. Terry is survived by her niece, Nancy Land McKemie and husband, Ray of Pelham; her nephew, Marc Land and his wife Faye of Shingler, three great nieces, Rebecca McKemie of Thomasville, Amanda L. and Steven Hendricks of Sylveter, Heather L. and Ray Dupree of Shingler; two great great nephews, Parker Howell Hendricks and Russell Landry Dupree; two great great nieces, Elliott Raney Hendricks and Hazel Marie Dupree of Sylvester.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church, 4605 Murray Ave, Tifton, Ga. 31794.
