Mrs. Catherine J. Cook, 92, of Sylvester died Wednesday April 23, 2014 at Phoebe Worth Medical Center.
A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Parrott Cemetery in Parrott, GA. Reverends Jerry Cooper and Bruce Gordon officiated.
Mrs. Cook was born on August 4, 1921 in Plains, GA and lived in Worth County since 1975. She was formerly employed with the Worth County Board of Education as a lunchroom supervisor. Mrs. Cook was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School. She was a former Sunday school teacher.
Mrs. Cook enjoyed cooking. She loved flower and vegetable gardening. Mrs. Cook celebrated her 68th wedding anniversary on April 20, 2014.
Survivors include her husband, Alvin Cook of Sylvester; daughter, Anna L. Parker (Sandy) of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Melissa LaFore (Robert), Clinton Parker (Wanda), and James Parker; great-grandchildren Lora and Leah LaFore, Tanner and Kinsley Parker.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew B. and Corrie Allean Moore.
