Charles Douglas “Doug” Gaughf

Mr. Charles Douglas “Doug” Gaughf, 71, of Sylvester died Tuesday August 26, 2014 at his residence.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Thursday August 28, 2014 at the Isabella Baptist Church with interment following in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Jason Jones and Rev. Al Wilbourn officiated.

Mr. Gaughf was born on May 29, 1943 in Poulan to the late Charles David Gaughf and Verlin Mae Youngblood Champion. He had lived in Worth County all of his life and was the Owner/Operator of Gaughf Plumbing and Electrical. Mr. Gaughf was a member of the Isabella Baptist Church. He enjoyed clogging, camping and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Lorene Dorminey Gaughf of Sylvester; sons, Craig Gaughf of Sylvester and Grant Gaughf (Amy) of Tallahassee; grandchildren, Sonny Forsberg, Christi Gaughf and Skyler Gaughf; great-grandchild, Ryan Forsberg; brothers, Franklin Gaughf of Sumter, SC and Allen Gaughf of Macon.

In addition to his parents Mr. Gaughf was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Mitchell Gaughf on February 19, 1964.

Pallbearers included Randy Gunter, Terry Brown, Bobby Watson, Rick Watson, Alan Gardner and Lewis Coleman.
