Charlotte Potts Connell

Mrs. Charlotte Potts Connell, 72, of Albany died Saturday July 26, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday July 28, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Todd Brooks will officiate.

Mrs. Connell was born on August 25, 1941 in Colquitt County to the late Willie Elvis and Cena Mae Smith Potts. She had lived in Worth County for the past 31 years and was formerly employed with the Worth County Board of Education in the cafeteria. Mrs. Connell was a charter member of the Women of the Moose Auxiliary Lodge # 1462 and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Lodge # 2785.

Survivors include her daughters, Pamela A. Torrence (Logan) of Albany; Belinda D. Blalock (Keith) of Albany; son, David Connell (Felicia) of Nashville; step-daughter, Susan J. Flowers (Kim) of New Broxton, AL.; step-son, Dewey Larry Connell, Sr. of Statenville; sister, Rosalynd Vredenburg (Gene) of Georgetown and Albany; grandchildren, Alease Lowery (Daniel), Michael Connell, Brandon Torrence (Stacie), Andrea Torrence, Ryan Blalock and Amber Blalock; great-grandchildren, Clay Lowery, MacKenzie Torrence, Ansleigh Torrence and Ethan Torrence and her special friend, Jessie Henry; 7 step-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Connell was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby J. Connell on January 21, 2013.

Pallbearers included, Bobby Varner, Mitch Potts, Jason Potts, Steve Potts, Scott Connell and Larry Connell, Sr.
