Clayton Ricky Layfield

Ricky-LayfieldClayton Ricky Layfield, 65, of Moultrie died Thursday, April 24, 2014, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014, at Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends David Oaks and Brad Bowen officiating. Interment was in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.
Born Nov. 7, 1948, in Moultrie, Mr. Layfield was the son of Jeanette Wimberly Layfield of Moultrie and the late Henry Clayton Layfield. He was the owner of Sunset Redi-mix, founder and former owner of Southern Supply, was an avid golfer and of the Christian faith.
Survivors include his wife, LeRay Newberry Layfield of Moultrie; son, Glenn Strickland of Valdosta; three daughters, Michelle Layfield Banks and husband Jeff of Bogart, Ga., Marci Layfield Meadows and husband Chad of Moultrie and Jenna Strickland Ives and husband Kyle of Pavo; grandchildren, Kimberly Banks, J.L. Banks, Brian Meadows, MaKaye Meadows, Deegan Ives and Kylee Ives.
Visitation was from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Heritage Church in memory of Rick Layfield.
Arrangements were entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
