Mr. Daniel R. “Dan” Hartranft, 87, of Bridgeboro died Tuesday November 5, 2013 at St. Luke’s Miners Hospital in Coaldale, PA.
The graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday November 8, 2013 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Dr. David Benton officiating.
Mr. Hartranft was born on January 9, 1926 in Allentown, PA to the late Raymond Charles and Emma Gerber Hartranft. He was a US Army Veteran of WWII and lived in Worth County since 1975. Mr. Hartranft was retired from the Marine Corps Logistics after 30 years of service and was a member and deacon of the Bridgeboro Baptist Church. He enjoyed traveling the Amish Community of Pennsylvania.
Survivors include his brother, Eddie Hartranft of Mcado, PA; sisters, Barbara Consoli of Elizabethtown, PA and Gail Hope of Tamaqua, PA; two special friends, Lonnie and Ann Blalock, and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Mr. Hartranft was preceded in death by his wife, Viola Mae Hartranft on May 21, 1999; a brother, John Hartranft and sisters, Marie Kunkle, Hattie Isley, Joan Hartranft and Catherine Jones.
