Deborah Susan Lewis Carter

Deborah Susan Lewis Carter, 55, of Adel , GA died Thursday, April 10, 2014 at her residence.
Mrs. Carter was born  January 11, 1959 in Sylvester, GA to Jeanette Suggs Lewis of Poulan and the late William “Knot” Lewis. She was employed with Professional Pros. of Atlanta and was of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Baker Funeral Home. Interment followed in Poulan City Cemetery. Rev. Grady Moree  officiated.
Casketbearers were Kenny Giddens, Eddie Giddens, Will Giddens, Tracy McCook, Jimmy Green, Ronnie Burger, Jerry Purvis and Rodney Higgs.
Mrs. Carter was survived by her mother, Jeanette Suggs Lewis of Poulan; spouse, John Asberry Carter of Adel; son, Joseph Banda of Poulan; step-son, John Carter and wife Cindy of Ray City; daughter, Stephanie Fincher and husband, James of Sylvester; brothers, William “Jr” Lewis and wife, Donna of Poulan, Billy Lewis and Wayne Lewis of Poulan; sister, Ruby Jones and husband, Willie of Poulan; grandchildren, Cody Fincher, Donovan Fincher, Nathan Fincher, Jonathon Carter, Lily Carter, John Carter, Jr. and Christian James Carter.
She was preceded in death by her father, William “Knot” Lewis; brother, Robert Lewis and sisters, Kathy Carter and Abigail Brown.
Visitation was held Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family may be contacted at 307 McGirt Street in Poulan, GA, the home of Jeanette Suggs Lewis. Arrangements were entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
