Dorothy Cross Bozeman

Mrs. Dorothy Cross Bozeman, 85, of Sumner died Tuesday May 6, 2014 at Colquitt Regional  Medical Center.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Friday May 9, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Paulk’s Chapel Cemetery. Reverends James Sellars and Charles McCardle officiated.
Pallbearers included Tim Bozeman, Jody Bozeman, David Bozeman, Ted Bozeman, Josh Bozeman, and Blake Spradley.
Mrs. Bozeman was born on July 13, 1928 in Dooly County to the late Willis Clinton and Mamie Lee Dorminey Cross. She lived in Worth County most of her life. Mrs. Bozeman was a member of Grace Freewill Baptist Church in Moultrie. She enjoyed singing, fishing and working on the farm.
Survivors include her sons, Connie Bozeman (Sheryl) of Sumner, Kenny Ray Bozeman (Debbie) of Sylvester, and Donald “Duck” Bozeman (Barbara) of Sumner; grandchildren, Tim Bozeman, Ted Bozeman, Tanya “Sook” Grimsley, Jody Bozeman, Josh Bozeman, Angie Cook, David Bozeman and Sonya Godwin; 17 great-grandchildren and sisters-in-law, Lougenia Cross of Sylvester and Sudie Cross of Omega.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Bozeman was preceded in death by her husband, H.J. “Bud” Bozeman on February 4, 1998 and a son, Wayne Bozeman on March 18, 2012.
The family received friends on Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.
