Dr. E.J. “Jack” Tison

Funeral services for Dr. E.J. “Jack” Tison, 79, of Oakfield, GA were held at 11:00 am, Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Ashburn Church of Christ in Ashburn. Dr. Tison passed away Wednesday at his residence in Worth County, GA. Interment will be in The Red Oak Cemetery in Worth County.

The son of the late Paul Jameson and Merle Southwell Tison, he was born in Worth County. He was a member of the Ashburn Church of Christ and The American Dental Association. Dr. Tison was a retired dentist and owned and operated his private practice in Ashburn for a long number of years.

Survivors include his wife, Genette McCuin Tison of Oakfield, his children, Jackie Dean (Tina) Tison, Lee County, GA; Timothy Dwayne Tison, Oakfield, GA; Steven David (Katherine) Tison, Franklin, NC; Shirley Karen (Darrell) Souter, Sylvester, GA; Tonya Melinda Tison, Oakfield, GA; Ricky Woodard, Pittsburgh, TN; Deborah Ann (Dean) Warren, Lancaster, CA; Earl (Jan) Woodard, Danville, GA; Rebecca Lynn (Bill) Windover, Winter Gardens, FL; Douglas (Brenda) Woodard, Winchester, TN; Anna W. (Joe) Lara, Atlanta, GA; and Alfred Woodard, Sebastian, FL. Sixteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers, Bobby W. Tison, Oakfield, GA and H. Rudolph Tison, Doles, GA.

The family received friends Friday, November 21st from 6 to 8 at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
