Henry W. Scurlock

Mr. Henry W. Scurlock, 87, of Moultrie formerly of Sylvester died Monday July 14, 2014 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

The graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday July 18, 2014 at Wright’s Chapel Cemetery with interment to follow. Rev. Jimmy Voyles will officiate.

Mr. Scurlock was born on April 28, 1927 in Bay County Florida to the late Charles Alto and Lena Simpler Scurlock. He had lived in Worth County since 1979, moving to Moultrie several years ago. Mr. Scurlock was a retired from Boilermaker Blacksmith Inc.. Mr. Scurlock enjoyed fishing, racoon hunting, playing cards and was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his daughter, Kim Anderson (Chris) of Panama City; grandchildren, Brooke Anderson and Lindsey Anderson; step-son, John Newsome (Donna) of Valdosta; sister, Linda Faircloth Jones (Jimmy) of Panama City; brother, Charles Scurlock (Naomi) of Brewton, AL.

In addition to his parents Mr. Scurlock was preceded in death by his wives, Christine K. Scurlock on June 11, 1998 and Linda N. Scurlock; a son, Mark Scurlock.

The family would like to especially thank the staff at Unihealth in Moultrie for taking such good care of Mr. Scurlock.
