Howard Felton Fowler

Howard Felton Fowler, 74, of Albany died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Pruitt Health Care. Funeral arrangements will be held Saturday at 11:00AM at Kimbrell-Stern with interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral at Kimbrell-Stern. Rev. John Powell will officiate.

A native of Bridgeboro, GA, Mr. Fowler had lived in Albany since 1975. He was a veteran of the U S Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 30. Mr. Fowler dedicated many years to the textile industry. He was a faithful employee at Freitex Industry and ultimately retired from Sylvester Textile. Howard loved watching wrestling, fishing, going to the mountains and he adored his dog, “Tracee.” Mr. Fowler was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orisl and Stella Fowler, one brother, Richard Fowler and one sister, Claire Fowler Ford.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Tombs Fowler of Albany, a sister, Hazel Marchant and her husband, Wright of Tifton, GA and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 30, 2916 Gillionville Rd, Albany, GA 31721.
