Iris Freda Medders Swinson

Iris Freda Medders Swinson, 72, of Norman Park died at her residence on July 1, 2013. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Indian Creek Church Cemetery. Reverends Jimmy Voyles and Julian Griner will officiate.

Pallbearers will include Brandon Bell, Kevin Kimbrell, Jack Hall, Jeremy Bell, Chad Pate and John Medders.

Ms. Swinson was born July 5, 1940 in Sylvester to the late Eddie B. Medders and Ollie V. Poole Medders. She was a homemaker and a member of Buck Creek Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Elmer Swinson and sisters, Ilene Glover, Wynette Pate, and Edna Earl Kimbrell.

Survivors include daughters, Sandra Royals of Norman Park, Lisa Rena (Eddie) Tillery of Norman Park and Priscillia (Rodney) Ward of Statenville, GA; brother, Eddie (Linda) Medders of Sylvester; brothers-in-law, James Glover of Ty Ty, Charles Pate of Evergreen, and Benson Kimbrell of Red Rock; grandchildren, Jennifer Marie Bek, Jacob Andrew (Alanna) Tillery, Jessica Nicole (Brandon) Bell, Caroline Tillery, Kenley Jadin Gay, Lauren Ward and Luke Ward; great-grandchildren, Jaleigh Beck, Joshua Beck, Ryleigh Tillery and Landon Bell.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
