James “Jim” William Houston, 72, of Camilla, GA passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Northside-Forsyth Hospital in Cumming, GA.
Born on August 12, 1941 in Sylvester, GA to the late John Edward and Janey Ledia Mims Houston, he was the owner and operator of H & H Pest Services. He was Baptist by faith and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife Betty Barfield Houston of Camilla, GA; daughter Natalie H. Brown and husband, Chris, of Pelham, GA; granddaughters, Brooke Brown and Ava Brown, both of Pelham, GA; brothers, John Edward Houston of Albany, GA and George Ray Houston of Sylvester, GA; two nieces and one nephew; special friends, Butler McDonald, Mike Briggs, Tommy Summerlin, Danny Williamson, Richard Sumner, Charles “Sonny” Brown and Mark McGahee.
He was preceded in death by his parents. No formal visitation was held and memorial services were conducted on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Neal Hager officiating.
