Rev. Jerry H. Ford, 76 of Doerun, died on Sunday, April 7, 2019 in Burleson, Texas.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday June 29, 2019 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Grady Morey officiated.
Mr. Ford was born on July 9, 1942 in Ocoee, FL., to the late Hubert and Myrtle Ford. He had lived in Dougherty and Worth County most of his life and was a veteran having served in the United States Army. He was retired from the Worth County High School where he taught Automotive Technology for almost fifteen years. Mr. Ford was called to preach and went to Spurgeon Baptist College and was a ordained Baptist Minister for thirty years. Following retirement, Rev. Ford, Linda and their canine Lucy Liu moved to Texas to be close to family.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Linda Ford; children, Christina Prowse (Doug), Stuart Ford (Carrie) and Jennifer Ford (Chelle); grandchildren, Alyson Ford, Emily Ford, Elizabeth Ford, Ashley Ford and Tristan Hill; brothers, Larry and Marty Ford; sister, Barbara Jean Davis. special pet, Lucy Liu.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ford was preceded in death by his brother, Lindsey Ford; sisters, Janice Register and Karen Ford.
