Jesse H. Johnson

Jesse H. Johnson, age 85, of Snellville, passed away, Saturday, May 17, 2014. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in the Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, Snellville, GA. with Rev. Leigh Jones officiating. There will be a graveside service 11 a.m., Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Sylvester, GA.
Mr. Johnson was a retired Lt. in the United States Navy, serving in Korea Conflict and Vietnam War. He has been a member of Presbyterian Church of the Resurrection since 1975. He married on April 2, 1970 in Hawaii. During their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson traveled extensively worldwide. He is preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Hilda “Jan” Johnston Johnson. He is survived by sisters and brother-in-law: Pat and Clarence Wilson of Sylvester, GA and Hazel Tobias, Delray Beach, FL; special nephew and niece: Ricky and Dee Johnson of FL and Jeanette and Louie Jimenez of Snellville, GA.
Flowers accepted, or in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Church of the Resurrection, 3676 Hwy 20 NE, Conyers, GA 30012.
The family received one  hour before the funeral in Snellville. The family will also receive friends 6 until 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home, 210 N. Main Street, Sylvester, GA 31791. 229-776-2055.
