Larry McDonald

Mr. Larry Russell McDonald, 72, of Sylvester died Tuesday September 29, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.

The graveside service was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Providence Cemetery. The Rev. Grady Morey officiated.

Mr. McDonald was born in Worth County on October 15, 1942 to the late Robert Russell and Hazel Louise Fowler McDonald. He lived in Worth County all his life. Mr. McDonald worked at Turner Air Force Base, Coats and Clark, a service station, was employed as a police officer in Sylvester and Poulan and he farmed. He was owner of McDonald’s Wrecker Service and drove a school bus for Worth County over 30 years. Mr. McDonald enjoyed servicing and working on Volkswagens.

Survivors include his wife Susan Kay McDonald; son, Rusty McDonald (Sam); daughters, Teresa Mallard (Fred), Missy Gaebler (Jeff) all of Sylvester; grandchildren, Jessie Smith (Ronnie), Jason Mallard, B. J. McDonald (Amanda), Brandy McDonald, Chris Gaebler, Kayleigh Gaebler, and Will Grimes; great-grandchildren, Aria and Annabelle Howe, Logan Pearson; sister, Elaine M. Sneed of Pensacola, FL and several nieces and nephews. Mr. McDonald was also survived by his best buddy Duke McDonald.

Serving as pallbearers were Will Grimes, Kenny Giddens, Will Giddens, Ken Walker, Milan Massey and Kebo McDonald; honorary pallbearers included, Jimmy Carrol and Eddie Giddens.

The McDonald family expresses a special thanks to Moultrie Hospice.
