Linnie Sumner

Linnie Sumner, 89, of Ray City died Thursday April 3, 2014 in the Presbyterian Home in Quitman.
She was born September 24, 1924 in Worth County to the late Charlie Champion and the late Alma White. She was a homemaker and a retired retail store manager with Uniform City in Tampa, FL. She was a member of Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church and the widow of Ralph Stephen Sumner who died in 1970. She was also preceded in death by six sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by two daughters: Shirley (Ed) Friend of Kennesaw, GA and Margaret Sumner Newman of Tampa, FL; three sons: Carlton Ralph (Barbara) Sumner of Germantown, TN, Steve (Cheryl) Sumner of Ray City, and Gene (India) Sumner of St. Marys, GA; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday April 5, 2014 at 3 p.m. at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Frank Sumner officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. in the chapel of Lovein Funeral Home and from 2 p.m. until the hour of service at Hickory Springs Primitive Baptist Church.
Lovein Funeral Home, Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
