Loron Coxwell

Mr. Loron H. Coxwell, 68, of Sylvester died Monday October 5, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment followed in the Leesburg Cemetery. Rev Larry Layfield and Mr. Cary Martin officiated.

Mr. Coxwell was born in Albany GA on July 8, 1947 to the late William Loron Coxwell and Sarah Frances Lee Coxwell Tatum. He was raised in Leesburg and had lived in Worth County since 1979. Mr. Coxwell graduated from Georgia Southwestern in Americus with a degree in Nursing and the Harris Hospital School of Anesthetist in Ft. Worth, TX. He was a certified registered nurse anesthetist and worked with Albany Anesthetist Group and later formed Coxwell Anesthetist. Mr. Coxwell was the Administrator for the Worth County Hospital and served seven other hospitals as an Anesthetist. He was a member of the Memorial Health Services Group. Mr. Coxwell was a state licensed general contractor and the owner of Coxwell Construction. He was a veteran of the United States Army, the National Guard and the United States Air Force Reserve.

Survivors include his wife Lyra M. Coxwell of Sylvester; son, Bill Coxwell (Tina) of Sylvester; brother, Julius Glenn Tatum; grandchildren, Bobbi Coxwell, and Lora Coxwell both of Sylvester.

Serving as pallbearers were Mike Barnard, Fred Barnard, Steven McCord, Marsh Coxwell, Ed Coxwell and Jose’ Montiel

In addition to his parents, Mr. Coxwell was preceded in death by his brother, William Thomas (Tom) Coxwell on April 11, 2000.
