Marie Tompkins Davis

Mrs. Marie Tompkins Davis, 72, of Tifton died Monday April 28, 2014 at Southern Care Assisted Living in Tifton, GA.
The graveside service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Pine Forest Cemetery. Rev. Jack Perrin officiated.
Mrs. Davis was born on July 6, 1941 in Sumner, GA, to the late Rena Saunders and Grady Tompkins.
She lived in Tifton, GA since February 2014 moving from Sycamore where she resided for 17 years. Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and a registered nurse formerly employed with Dr. H. Gordon Davis, Sylvester Health Care and Tift Health Care Nursing Homes. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, sewing and listening to bluegrass music.
Survivors include her husband J. Gordon Davis of Tifton, GA; daughter, Anita D. White (Jerry) of Sycamore, GA; grandchildren, James “Buck” White and Lori White, of Sycamore, GA;  sisters, Susie T. Pendley (Ray) of Warwick, GA,  Gracie T. Duckworth (Ralph) of Leesburg, GA, Patsie T. Cannon, (Carroll) of TyTy, GA and brother, Freddie Tompkins (Peggy) of Sumner, GA.
The family received friends from 7 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Banks Funeral Home.
