Marie Weaver Odom

CrossMrs. Marie Weaver Odom, 78, of Sylvester died Friday December 12, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Monday December 15, 2014 at Acorn Pond Baptist Church with interment following in the Odom-Story Cemetery. The Rev. Glen Hobby officiated.

Mrs. Odom was born on June 17, 1937 to the late Joseph Robert and Essie Jane Anderson Weaver. She had lived in Worth County most of her life and was a 1954 graduate of the Warwick High School. Mrs. Odom was retired from Coats and Clark, Empire Mercantile Company and B.C. Moores Department Store. She enjoyed crocheting and watching the Atlanta Braves. Mrs. Odom was a member of the Acorn Pond Baptist Church.

Survivors include her sister, Myrtle Eady (Bill) of Poulan; brothers, Albert Weaver (Donna) of Warwick and Jake Weaver (Pat) of Sylvester and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, J.H. Odom on February 25, 1995, brothers, Robert Weaver, Jr., Gene Weaver and Lamar Weaver.

Serving as pallbearers were Scott Andrews, Steve Andrews, Terry Weaver, Joey Weaver, Kenneth Weaver and Robert Weaver.
