Mary Bridges

Mrs. Mary Hall Bridges, 101 of Albany, formerly of Sylvester, died on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at her son’s residence.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Monday November 25, 2019 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, interment followed in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Dr. William “Butch” Knight officiated.

Mrs. Bridges was born on September 13, 1918 in Baker County, GA., to the late Charlie Lee and Mary Kea Hall. She had lived in Albany for the past five years, after moving there from Sylvester. She was a retired beautician. Mrs. Bridges was an artist, and enjoyed floral designing, sewing and gardening, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Bryant Drive Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Dr. Hugh Hudson (Linda) of Albany, Andrea Hudson Parnell (Oma) of Conyers, GA; grandchildren, Leslie Needleman (Jason), Dan McGirt, Kyla Kiddle (Wayne), Vanessa Parnell, Lynn Parnell, Jason Dupree, Will Cooper and Erin Willingham (Woody); 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bridges was preceded in death by her first husband, Albert Hudson; second husband, J. Pait Bridges; daughter, Genia B. Melton; grandsons, Albert Hugh Hudson, III and Ethan Hall Hudson.
