Mary Jones Segers

CrossMrs. Mary Jones Segers, 90, of St. Simons Island and formerly of Worth County, died Saturday, April 2, 2015 at Magnolia Manor Long Term Care of St. Simons Island.
A graveside service was held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at Paulk’s Chapel Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Davis officiated.
Mrs. Segers was born in Bleckley County, GA on February 12, 1925 to the late Allen Seaborn Early and Eva Crumpler Jones. She had lived in Sylvester since 1961. Mrs. Segers was retired from the Worth County Board of Education. She was a member of Pinson Memorial United Methodist Church and Maude O’Sheal Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her sons, Michael L. Segers of Lakeland, FL, Richard E. Segers (Carolynn) of Rincon, GA and Marcus K. Segers of Decatur, GA and a granddaughter, Molly Segers of East Point, GA.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Segers was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leeon Segers on August 2, 2006 and two brothers, Ralph Jones and Robert Jones.
