Marye Jones Carroll Wright

Marye Jones Carroll Wright, 78, of Albany, GA passed on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Marye is the daughter of Alfred and Mamie Jones of Sylvester, GA. She was a retired teacher of Home Economics at Worth County High in Sylvester, GA and Culinary Arts at Albany Tech in Albany, GA with degrees from Fort Valley State Univ, Tuskegee Univ, and the Univ. of Georgia. She was an active member and past president of her FVSC alumni chapter and a Diamond Life Member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Marye was a long-time member of Hines Memorial CME Church and a past president of the Missionary Society.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 11, 6pm at Elliott Funeral Home, Albany, GA with Funeral Services held on Friday, June 12 at Hines Memorial CME Church, Albany, GA at 1 lam.

Survivors include her husband, John Wright, Albany, GA, daughter, Sue (Carror) Wright, of Byron, GA, son, Robert (Larita) Carroll, Atlanta, GA, two grandsons, Robert (Stephanie) Carroll III of Atlanta, GA, Michael Carroll of Atlanta, GA, two granddaughters, Nikki (Jeff) Harris of Fort Valley, GA, Maresa Wright of Macon, GA and great grands, Justin Harris of Fort Valley, GA and Logan Henderson of Macon, GA.
