Mildred Brown Causey

Mrs. Mildred Brown Causey, 99, of Sylvester died Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Pruitt Health of Sylvester.

The funeral service was held at 3:00 PM on Monday, February 2, 2015 in the Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Poulan Cemetery. The Rev. Gordon Poole officiated.

Mrs. Causey was born on November 21, 1915 in Worth County to the late Bruster Andrew and Sopherona Ayers Brown.  She was a homemaker who had lived in Worth County most of her life.  Mrs. Causey was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking, flowers, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughters, Clocile Ward of Chattanooga, TN and Montine Blalock of Poulan; sons, Bruce A. Causey (Shirley) of Poulan and Tracy Causey; 18 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Causey was preceded in death by her husband, Luther Causey on November 2, 1981 and a son, Roy Causey.

Pallbearers included Wayne Blalock, Patrick Blalock, Jason Causey, Jim Ward, David Conley and Jamie Routhier.
