Posted on October 31, 2013 By Sylvester Local

Phoebe Worth EMS has once again earned high honors at the annual Georgia EMS & Educators Conference in Savannah. Over the weekend, teams from Phoebe Worth EMS competed in the state ACLS (advanced cardiovascular life support) competitions and the EMS golf tournament.

The ACLS team, comprised of Chanaan Davis, Julie Stalvey-Bennett and Ace Kent earned first prize in the competition, which marks the sixth time in nine years of competition the team has won. John Graddy, Ray Salter, Chad Salter and Tim Bozeman took first place in the event’s golf tournament. Graddy also competed in the CPR competition and won with a 99.6 percent efficiency rating.

“I’m incredibly proud, not only of this year’s award winning team, but also the other five teams that have won this title in the past nine years,” said Kim Gilman, chief administrative officer, Phoebe Worth Medical Center. “Six wins in nine years is an amazing accomplishment. Our unprecedented success in these competitions demonstrates how dedicated our team is to providing the best possible care to the citizens of Sylvester-Worth County. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, these men and women answer the call for help and I am honored to tell people we have the best of the best fighting for the lives of the people of our community.”
