Mrs. Selma H. Hill, 87 of Sylvester, died on Sunday, March 3, 2019 at the Pine Shadows Retirement Manor.
The graveside service was held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 in the Providence Cemetery. Nephew Bob Holden officiated.
Mrs. Hill was born on September 1, 1931 in Colquitt County, GA to the late General Jackson and Clarice Nix Holden. She had lived in Worth County most of her life, where she owned and operated Selma’s Lillie Patch for many years. She loved flowers, especially her day lilies; she also enjoyed painting bird houses and crafts. Mrs. Hill was a member of the Red Oak Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sisters; Carolyn Ann Price of Jacksonville, NC and Bobbie Jane Roop of Austell, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Baptist Children’s Home or your favorite charity.
