Talmade James “Jamie” Dean

Talmadge James “Jamie” Dean, 40, of Sylvester, died Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Worth County.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, March 9, 2013, in the chapel of Albritton-Beaumont Funeral Directors with the Rev. Terrell Ruis officiating.  Burial will follow at Tift Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M.

Rocky Hancock, Dusty Hancock, Clint Littleton, Pat Littleton, Gene Williams, Roger Brady, David Mainor, and Darrell Bowsman will serve as pallbearers.

He was born July 3, 1972, in Tift County to Hubert Talmadge Dean and Christine Holley Dean, both of whom survive and reside in Tifton, and was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Flowers .

Mr. Dean was a graduate of Tift County High School and worked as a private hunting guide at Ochlocknee Plantation in Worth County.  He loved to hunt and fish, especially hog hunting and flats fishing.  Mr. Dean was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Dean is survived by his son, James Dean, and his daughter, Ava Isabella Dean, both of Sylvester; four sisters and four brothers-in-law, Vickie and Eddie Suggs of Omega, Diane and Gary Lewis of Norman Park, Debra and Mickey Boatwright of Moultrie, and Penny and Joe Burk of St. Lewis, Mo.; the mother of his children, Amanda Griffin, of Sylvester; and eight nieces and nephews.
